Welcome
The MD Insight comes from a happy accident of helping my patient's feel more in control of their health. When they would share their stories of disheartening visits to the doctor, I could relate on both sides. I started to notice a pattern: patients who I had shared the physician perspective with would come back reporting more productive interactions with their healthcare providers. They were more confident, more willing to engage with their doctors, hesitated less to seek care - these patients were happier and ultimately healthier.
Now, these discussions took time. Clinic ran later and later as I chose to do this more often. The impact on the individuals I would see one-on-one was significant, but in an already overextended healthcare system, my walk-in clinic exam room was not the appropriate setting.
So here we are today! Through corporate and community workshops, MD insight and the strategies/tips/tricks I've collected reaches farther.
